I am excited to share a little story about my childhood with you. It will also help you to see how we use the modal verb &#8220;would&#8221; to talk about past habits and routines.<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: left;\">Frog-Hunting<\/h1>\n<p>When I was a kid, I lived on a ranch. At night, we would hear the sound of big groups of frogs. They would croak so loudly. And we could hear them from far away. I would beg my brother to take me frog-hunting.<\/p>\n<p>When he did, sometimes we would walk, and sometimes we would take the ATC. Many times, he was Johny-on-the-spot, and would catch the frogs. Other times, because I could not see, he would take my hand, and help me catch them. We would come home with frogs, and\/or toads.<\/p>\n<p>I would have a blast! I think my brother would too sometimes. My mother would not allow us to bring them into the house, so I would keep them outside in a bucket.<\/p>\n<p>I would only keep them for a little while. I would go outside and play with them. When I was finished, I would let them go. They would hop away and live free again.
